Writing

Reading and writing have been passions of mine since I was a little girl, being raised on the rocky, rural shores of Newfoundland.

Articles/Newsletters – Throughout my career as a brand builder and strategic communicator, I have written countless articles and newsletters (traditional and electronic) on literacy, business, policy, politics, entrepreneurship, mentoring, and youth issues.

Books – I have successfully published, Beyond The Book: Learning From Our History, a historical account of literacy and its heroes and heroines. This book can be found in the Toronto Public Library System. I am also developing a children’s book series to inspire a new generation of curious and socially-responsible travelers.

Blogs – As a lover of lifelong learning, travel, and social justice, I have shared my wanderlust stories through my (archived) blog Adventures of a Blond White Girl, one cis-gendered, white, female account of international travel, and experiences had from that lens.

Events – I have hosted writers’ retreats since 2023. The goal of these events is to provide the time and space for writers and authors to explore their creativity. The events are an opportunity to write, relax, network, edit, share, bond with fellow writers, enjoy the beauty of nature in a cozy town atmosphere, and practice self care.
